The main inspiration behind the Euphrat packaging is the product itself. The logo has been redesigned to convey the message of packed fish, and the blue-white atmosphere of marinas has been incorporated into the background. The aim is to create a visual representation that reflects the freshness and quality of the fish.
What sets Euphrat's packaging apart is its unique approach to showcasing the fish. The visuals of the fish are adorned with garnishes and spices, placed at the center of the design. This not only enhances the appetite appeal but also highlights the naturalness of the product. The logo, redesigned with a modern font, features a fish figure above the "U," reinforcing the message of packed fish.
The packaging is available in three sizes: 250g, 500g, and 1000g. Both the box and flexi packages utilize the same graphic design. The box is made of paper, while the flexi package is made of plastic. The dimensions of each package are carefully crafted to ensure optimal storage and transportation.
The Euphrat packaging goes beyond aesthetics and functionality. It also incorporates QR codes on the side and back of the packaging, providing consumers with easy access to all the production details of the product. This transparency helps build consumer trust and confidence in the brand.
The project, led by designer Musa Celik and Resan Ilhan, took place in Istanbul, Turkey, from January 2016 to March 2016. Extensive online research was conducted to gather insights into food packaging trends, competitor analysis, and industry best practices. The design team aimed to create a European-style plain package with a high-quality perception, resulting in a sleek and modern design.
The Euphrat packaging has been recognized for its excellence and innovation. It was awarded the Iron A' Design Award in 2018, which honors well-designed, practical, and innovative creations that meet professional and industrial requirements. This accolade highlights the packaging's integration of industry best practices and competent technical characteristics, contributing to a better world.
